Enough is Enough from our Founder, Zakiya Nicole!

As we all band together in response to the recent uproar regarding racial inequality, injustice, racist policing and the systemic racism the country was built on, my mind is set on, now what? I was born black in America and because of this, I have dealt with racism, colorism, discrimination and so much more for as long as I can remember. I am not only black, but I am undeniably black and have grown into and learned to appreciate it - I am unapologetically black. As I like to say, “I can’t take my black off“ I am black all day, every day, 24/7. 365. I am a mother, a daughter, a grand-daughter, a sister, a auntie, a cousin, a business owner, a volunteer, a community servant and most importantly, I am human and worthy of all things good.

Now is the time for accountability and continued enlightenment, the veil has been removed and what we have been saying for years regarding mass incarceration, police brutality and other systems of oppression is now being magnified and racism is the root of it all. With that being said, I wanted to stand in my truth, support the movement and remain true to my fashion values, so I created simple products, with simple language for anyone who wants to stand with me in solidarity, promote your pride and/or your commitment to the movement.
